Sandburg Recognized for 20 Years in Cisco Networking Academy

Carl Sandburg College is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a participant in one of the premier information technology education programs for developing global problem solvers.
Sandburg has been a partner in the Cisco Networking Academy for the last two decades. The College offers a Cisco network associate certificate, which provides students with the skills needed to implement, configure, manage and troubleshoot cutting-edge IT infrastructure.
The program also provides the foundational knowledge students need to prepare for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam as well as Cisco Certification and other professional exams. Cisco network associate courses also can go toward earning an Associate in Applied Science in IT LAN & security at Sandburg.
“Sandburg is proud to have been a Cisco Networking Academy partner for the past 20 years. This long-term partnership with Cisco has provided a pathway for our students to attain globally recognized certifications and career advancement,” information and communication technology instructor Suvineetha Herath said. “Our graduates are employed in demanding positions both near and far and are able to perform their jobs with confidence and expertise. We are incredibly proud of what our program has accomplished, but we are also working to make it even better as advancements in technology make our world more globalized than ever.”
One of the highlights of these information and communications technology (ICT) courses at Sandburg is that they are available online or as multiple-modality. Multiple-modality courses provide students with the option to attend each class session in a classroom, online, via Skype or by connecting to the class through a telepresence robot.
